1968

Original patent granted for aluminum-clad composite laminate used in fabricating multilayer printed circuit boards (PCB).

1969

Laminating Company of America (LCOA) was founded. Manufacturer of composite materials used in drilling of PCB´s patented Slickback® – a lubricated PCB drill backer.

2000

Sister company Newco acquired Tristar and moved into a 65,000 ft² manufacturing facility (Lake Forest, CA).

2004

Acquired LCOA and moved to Lake Forest, CA. Continued doing business as “LCOA.” Largest global share of laminated drilling products. 35% of product exported to Asia and Europe. Patented Bullseye®, a superior drill registration sheet.

2009

Formed LCOA Composites, Inc. to build advanced composite systems for structural and ballistic applications.

Today

Formed DeadStop® Shields in concert with US SWAT teams developing police shields with a full array of protection at a very light weight.
